Returns Policy

RETURNS, CANCELLATION and COMPLAINTS POLICY

1. Complaints and Queries
If you are not happy with any aspect of our online service or if you have any queries or comments relating to an order placed online, please either e-mail us at customerservice@cleaningproducts.co.uk telephone us on 0800 542 8031 or write to: Customer Service, The Janitor Ltd, Unit 116 Biz Space Business Park, Upper Villiers Street, Wolverhampton, West Midlands. WV2 4XD and we will do everything we can to help you.
If you do not receive goods ordered by you within 20 working days of the date on which you ordered them, we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us in writing at our contact address of the problem within 30 working days of the date on which you ordered the goods.
Save as precluded by law, we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill) howsoever arising out of any problem you notify to us under this condition and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question.

2. Cancellation of Contract by you and Unwanted Goods
If you decide that you do not want any item which we have delivered or which you have ordered then, provided that you notify us in writing or by email of such cancellation and that any such item is returned to us by you (see below as to methods of returning goods) in its original and unused condition (including in its original packaging), along with delivery note (as proof of purchase) within 28 days of delivery, we will exchange it or offer a refund.
A cancellation charge of 30% for goods returned will be applied; the carriage cost will be the responsibility of the buyer.
2a. When returning any goods:
By Post.
You are required to obtain a certificate of postage (available from all Post Offices at no charge) when returning items by post.
2b. Once you have notified us that you are cancelling your contract in respect of such goods, any sum debited to us from your credit card will be re-credited to your account (less any cancellation charges) as soon as possible and in any event within 7 days of the return of the goods, PROVIDED THAT the goods in question are returned by you and received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you.

3. Faulty Goods and Liability
If you purchase a product from us which is found to be faulty or is not what you ordered we will at your option supply a replacement product or the correct product, or arrange for a repair or give you a refund of the purchase price, provided that you notify us in writing within 7 working days of delivery of the goods in question. Please return the item with delivery note or other proof of purchase and upon receipt of the product we will examine it. We aim to dispatch a replacement product, arrange a repair or refund your money within 14 days. In relation to returning any such goods to us:
3a) By post.
You are advised to return a certificate of posting (available from all Post Offices at no charge) when returning items by post. If the item is faulty we will re-imburse you the postage costs.
3b) By Courier.
We can arrange collection by courier, which would be free of charge if the item is faulty or is the incorrect item
Not withstanding the foregoing, nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under applicable local law or other statutory rights that may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or limit our liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.

4. A Special Note About Refunds via PayPal
When a refund or partial refund is made, the funding source of the original payment determines how the refund is credited to you by PayPal.
1. Where the Payment is funded with a bank account or PayPal balance the refund is credited to your PayPal balance.
2. Payments funded using a credit or debit card will be refunded to the appropriate card.*
3. Where the payment funding is split between a card and another funding source, PayPal refunds the card portion to the card and the remainder to your PayPal account.
*Refunds to your card can take up to 30 days depending on the issuing bank.
eCheque refunds may appear as "Pending" for up to 9 working days.
Payments made with redemption codes or gift certifications/vouchers are refunded by returning your redemption points to your redemption code, certificate or voucher.

5. Refund Timescales
We usually action refunds on the same working day as the goods are received back. As you can see from the above PayPal notes it can take longer for the funds to show in your account depending on the method of payment chosen.

When we have reversed the transaction on our system an email will be generated to advise you that the refund has been actioned and will be sent to the email address you have given us in your account. It is important that this email address be valid and up to date for you to receive this notification.

Please note that any loyalty points earned with the returned item will be reversed or adjusted if you take a replacement item that is a different value.
